Marla Berman, LCSW is a psychotherapist in New York City.  As a licensed clinical social worker her psychotherapy services are insurance reimbursable. She is an in-network provider with several major insurance plans.

For over 15 years, Marla has provided psychotherapy and counseling services to adults, couples and families.  Marla is an experienced psychotherapist with advanced training in the field of psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. 

Marla has experience working in a variety of treatment modalities including short-term psychotherapy, crisis counseling, and psychodynamic psychotherapy.  Marla tailors the treatment modality to the needs of the individual.  
Marla's private practice reflects the diversity of New York City.  For over 15 years she has worked with a wide range of people who are coping with life's challenges.  
Marla's professional experience includes working in a major teaching hospital in the areas of pediatric oncology and  HIV/AIDS.  After the terrorist attacks of 9/11, she received additional training in crisis counseling.  She has supervised interns pursuing their graduate training in social work and has taught courses on the practice of psychotherapy.
